Thomas is leaving the band

Our singer, frontman and founding member Thomas has decided to leave the band.

While we are saddened to see him go, we are forever grateful to him for bringing us together.

We'd like to thank him for his many contributions and bringing his delighted spirit to our little group.

We wish him all the best!

The rest of us are going to figure out what to do next. We'll have more news soon!

STATEMENT FROM THOMAS BELOW:

When Scarbringer first started out, there was a fire burning within me. A desire to write and play heavy metal. That fire, over time, started to lose power until it was only a smoldering pyre. Slowly, writing new lyrics or thinking up new singing lines or concepts for new songs began to feel like an obligation, rather than something I poured my heart and soul into. The decision to leave the band that began five years ago did not come easy. But I'm sure you all realize that, to progress as a band, the fire inside needs to be burning bright and strong within everyone. Furthermore, the people in Scarbringer are way more than musicians, they are friends, nay, brothers to me, whom I love dearly. To remain in the band without motivation, would jeopardize that friendship, which I want to avoid at all costs. I hope they quickly find someone to take my place behind the microphone, because then all you people out there will once again see the wolf on stage and its howl will be deafening! Thanks to Miquel, Jonas and Mr. Muls for the amazing times we had and making my dream of being in a proper band reality. To the fans/ friends of Scarbringer: you'll see me in the future, just on the other side of the stage. Stay metal, stay rock 'n roll, Peace!
